SHELBY- Mr. BW Ray, 67, of 130 Shadowgate Dr., died Sun., June 19, 2011 at his home. A native of Horry County, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Ashley Monroe and Margaret Graham Ray. BW served in the Navy during Vietnam and was a decorated Veteran. He was a member of Hoyle Memorial United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge in China Grove, Eureka 0283. BW loved hunting, fishing, NASCAR, westerns, and word working.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Helen Ray Chesnut.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Harriet Morgan Ray, of the home; three sons, Randal Ray and wife Tina of Cabot, AR, Eric Nail and wife Anne Marie of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and John Nail of Scottsdale, AZ; two daughters, Lauren Ray Tessneer and husband Jon of Grover and Amy Nail Bennett of N. Myrtle Beach; sister Willadean Attaway and husband Milton of Summerton, SC; and four grandchildren, Sydney and Shelby Ray, Collin Tessneer, and Beatrice Nail.
SERVICES: The funeral will be 2pm Wednesday at Hoyle Memorial U.M.C.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at the home of his daughter Lauren Tessneer, 2534 Brookfield Dr., Grover.
