C.O. Koon

SHELBY: CO Koon, 78, died Monday, February 7, 2022 at his home. Born in Lexington County, SC, he was the son of Odell and Elizabeth Davis Koon. CO graduated from Batesburg High School and Wofford College. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he was active in many different capacities. He retired from Burlington Industries and later drove a bus for Lynx and Carolina Charter. He was an avid Clemson fan. He is survived by his loving wife Norma Martin Koon, of the home; his children, Steve Koon and wife Cheryl of Rutherfordton, Stephanie Addis and husband Harley of Indian Trail, Kevin Tolbert and Jamie Tolbert and wife Charity, both of Grover; sisters, Sandy Carl, Sherry Bordeaux and Diane Janicki and husband Jan, all of Batesburg, SC; grandchildren, Zoe Koon, Taylor Koon, Jacob Addis, Sadi Shouse and husband Michael, Thomas Tolbert, Laura Kirksey and husband Chris, Ryley Tolbert and Kasey Tolbert; and a few nieces and nephews. A memorial service for CO will be held 3:00PM, Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Cal Robinson and Rev. Dr. Doug Dickens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
