Carl Cash

SHELBY: Carl Edward Cash, 74, died Friday, November 1, 2024 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Grady and Eunice Jones Cash. Carl served in the Army and he enjoyed fishing and playing bluegrass music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Pete and Ray Cash; and sisters, Marie Wray and Shirley Hale. He is survived by his son, Chad Cash and wife Erin of Maryland; daughters, Carla Gullatte and husband Kevin of Shelby and Kandy Arie of Texas; brother, Gene Cash of Conover; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his former wife and dear friend, Carolyn Cash of Shelby. The family will receive friends 2:00-3:30 P.M. Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
