Carl Wayne Sellers

SHELBY- Carl Wayne Sellers, 72, died Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland after a long illness. A native of Robeson Co., he was born to the late Will and Leona Buffkin Sellers. He retired from the textile industry. His children were the light of his life. He grew up on a farm that gave him his love of animals. He loved fishing and drinking coffee while chatting with friends.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Sellers; sisters, Mildred McPhatter, Mitchell Lumsden, Sarah Long, Leola Willoughby and Lillian Sellers; brothers, James, Bill, Benjamin and Woodrow Sellers.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia Sellers, of the home; sons, David Sellers of Charlotte and Michael Sellers of Round Rock, Tx.; daughters, Jeanne Toivonen and husband Anthony of Raleigh and Lynne Taylor and husband Michael of Fayetteville; grandchildren Cyndi Jones, Matthew Toivonen, Isaac Sellers, Sarah Sellers and Emily Taylor; great grandchild Jack Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.

GRAVESIDE SERVICES: will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Lafayette Memorial Gardens West Fayetteville, NC
