Carl White

SHELBY- Mr. Carl Junior White, 74, of 2503 S. Post Rd., died Friday, April 15, 2011, at Kings Mountain Hospice House. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Carl James and Addie Oakes White. Carl was a member of In His Hands Independent Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 4 brothers and sisters.

SURVIVED: She is survived by his former spouse and companion, Jane Griffin White, of Shelby; three sons, Buster Griffin and wife Ann of Shelby, Donald White and wife Sherry of Earl, and Chris White of Shelby; two daughters, Shirley Davis and husband Johnny of Shelby and Samantha White and fiancé Jeremy Greene of Shelby; sister Nellie Bowen and husband Tommy of Shelby; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and special niece Carolyn Smith of Shelby.


VISITATION: Saturday, 6-7:30, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Jane White, 208 N. Post Rd., Shelby.

FUNERAL: Sunday, 2pm, at Charity Baptist Church . The body will be place in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.

CLERGY: Revs. Joseph Porter, Jerry Marshall, Buster Griffin, and Donald White.

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Charity Baptist Church Cemetery
