Carl B. Wood

BOILING SPRINGS-Carl B. Wood, 86, died Friday, June 23, 2017, at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. A native of Dobson, NC, he was the son of the late Carl and Madge Beamer Wood. He was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church, and served two years in the Army.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and her husband, Betty and Richard Hardy; and brother, Wilson Wood.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Katherine Wood, of the home; son, Mark Wood and wife Leslie of Atlanta; step-daughters, Debbie Smith and Donna Hambright, both of Boiling Springs; grandchildren, Shay and wife Ashley of Atlanta, John and wife Nikki of South Mountain, Dustin and wife Alexis of Lenoir, and Caitlin of Boiling Springs; and three great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, in the church, and other times at the home.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be 11a.m., Monday, at Flint Hill Baptist Church

OFFICIATING: Revs. Shane Kirby and Keith Dixon will officiate

BURIAL: Will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park with full military honors by the Marine Corp League
