Carol Bridges

March 2, 1940 — May 15, 2011

SHELBY- Ms. Carol Wease Bridges, 71, of 1000 Old Boiling Springs Rd., died Sun., May 15th, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Don Miles and Carrie Mayhew Wease. Carol retired from Kemit Electronics and was a master quilter and a passionate antique glassware collector.



PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers James, Earl, Odus, Don, Jerry, and Pinky; five sisters Vernie Anderson, Emma Vaughn, Vada Linquanti, Peggy, Joyce, and Linda Wease.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her son Don R. Bridges of Shelby; daughter Sharon Bridges Walker of Newton; and a grandson Johnathan Dale Walker of Winston-Salem; and her companion Donald Early Shelton Sr..


SERVICES: Funeral services will be 11am Thursday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-7:30pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

CLERGY: Rev. Allen Davis

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery
