Carolyn Everett

SHELBY- Carolyn Everett, 91, passed away on May 14, 2024. Born in Piedmont South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Brookie of Piedmont. Carolyn was a member of Lattimore Baptist Church. She retired from Doran Mills after 30 years of service. She enjoyed time with family, always encouraging visits from her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Leonard Everett; sisters Evelyn Sullivan of Easley South Carolina and Sybil Eller of Piedmont South Carolina. She is survived by her sons, Wayne Everett and wife Kathy, Mike Everett and wife Judy, and Todd Everett; brother, John Brookie and wife Yvonne, all of Shelby; sister, Charleen Rogers and husband Joe of Easley, SC; grandchildren, Katie Thomas and husband Tristan of Burnsville, Jenny Ethington, Justin Everett of Shelby, Michelle Bright of Glen Alpine, and Jennifer Yow of Kings Mountain; great grandchildren, Finley and Alden Ethington, Brittany Everett, Macey Bright, Matthew Bright, Destiny Moore, and Christopher Moore.Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Monday, May 20th at Lattimore Baptist Church, with the Rev. Buddy Morehead officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, in the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
