Carolyn Fuller

KINGS MOUNTAIN: Carolyn Barker Fuller, 98, died Thursday, November 7, 2024 at White Oak Manor Kings Mountain. She was the daughter of the late Orus Clevland and Ruth Wagg Barker. Carolyn received a degree from Duke University which she used to find work as a Lab Tech at Walter Reed Army Medical Center until she met her husband while attending Sunday School at a local church. Carolyn was very active in her community, she was part of the Gaston County Master Gardeners, Gaston County Women’s Community Bible Study, and in her younger years she trained people to work with their dogs. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, George Allen Fuller Jr.; daughter, Ruth Bryson; and sisters, Ruth Barker, Mary Barker, and Margret Barker. She is survived by her sons, Edward Allen Fuller and Thomas Johnson Fuller; brother, Orus Cleveland Barker; and various nieces and nephews.
