SHELBY- Mrs. Carolyn H. Hurdt, 73, died Monday, October 25, 2010 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late James Franklin and Lottie Etta Hoyle Hurdt. Carolyn was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her 3 brothers, John, Dwight, and Joe Hurdt.
SURVIVED: She is survived by two sisters, Ruth Philbeck and husband Tom and Shirley Adams, all of Shelby; and four brothers James Hurdt and wife Dot of Rutherfordton, Andrew Hurdt of Shelby; Ronald Hurdt and wife Ella and Leonard Hurdt, all of Shelby.
SERVICES: Thursday, Oct. 28, 3pm at Faith Baptist Church.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends two hours before the service.
BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.
CLERGY: Dr. J. Barry Goodman and Rev. Johnny Owens.
MEMORIALS: May be made to Faith Baptist Church Building Fund, 2738 S. Post Rd., Shelby 28152.
FUNERAL HOME: Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby.
