Carolyn Lowery

SHELBY- Carolyn Reinhardt Lowery, 86, of Franklin Ave., died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Orrie Smith Reinhardt. She retired from the City of Shelby as their finance director. She volunteered many years at Cleveland Regional Medical Center and was a member of Westview Baptist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mike Lowery; son, Robert Mike Lowery Jr.; granddaughter, Stephanie Cavalier; brother, Bill Reinhardt; sisters, Irene D’Amico, Adeline Shields, and Libby Shull

SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving daughters, Debbie Gainey and husband Stan of Gastonia, and Cindy Lowery of Greenville, SC; daughter-in-law, Vicki Lowery of Shelby; sisters, Jenny Shull and husband Gene of Shelby, and Charlene Curtis of Moore, OK; grandchildren, Andrian Baker and husband David of Gastonia, Dawn Watts and husband Roger of Ellenboro, and Amy Marlowe and husband Paul of Shelby; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Ayden Baker, Bobby, Colin, and Lainey Watts, Keely Bryant, Bryson Marlow, Brandi and Steven Johnson; one great-great-grandchild; and 13 “special” grandchildren.

SERVICES: Tuesday, 2PM, at Westview Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Tuesday, 12:30-2PM, at the church
