Charles Jewell

MOORESBORO, NC-Mr. Charles Richard Jewell, 74, of Ellenboro Rd., died Sat., Nov. 19, 2011, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Richland Co., Oh., he was the son of the late George and Sarah Gibson Jewell. He served in the Navy and retired from General Motors in Ohio.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife in 1988, Eleanor Miller Jewell; daughter, Lana Leeth; grandson, Jermiah Leeth; two half brothers, William Leon Jewell and James Jewell; four sisters; Hazel Amburgy, Gertrude Pruitt, Nora Lee Rice, and Judy McCoy.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his son, Stephen Jewell of Galion, OH; four daughters, Lisa Banks and husband Donald of Bucyrus, OH, Loretta Mills and husband Greg of Shelby, NC, Lori Methany of Shelby, OH, Lynn McKee and husband Robert of Upper Sandusky, OH; two sisters, Naomi Holiday and Leona Holiday and husband Virgil, all of Shelby, NC; son-in-law, Douglas Leeth of Lawndale, NC; 14 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
