LLAWNDALE- Charles E. Lutz, 80, died Thursday, June 8, 2017, at White Oak Manor in Shelby. A native of Belwood, he was the son of the late Protus and Ethel Norman Lutz. Charles served in the Army, retired from Fiber Industries, and was a member of Knob Creek United Methodist Church.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Todd Lutz; and granddaughter, Ashley Lutz.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patsy Sharlene Lutz, of the home; sons, Chuck Lutz and wife Vicki of Lawndale, Chris Lutz and wife Lisa of Casar, Curt Lutz and wife Amy of Lawndale, and Craig Lutz and wife Lorie of Kings Mountain; sister, Jean Ann Privett and husband Ben, of Belwood; brother, Thomas Lutz of Morganton; grandchildren, Jessica Lutz, Chelsea Lutz Crunkleton and husband Andrew, all of Lawndale, Emily Lutz Hudson and husband Josh of Shelby, Josh Lutz of Lawndale, Corey Lutz of Casar, Christian Lutz of Kings Mountain, Lauren Faircloth of Myrtle Beach, and Camden Lutz of Kings Mountain; great-grandchild, Reed Lukas Crunkleton of Lawndale.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Saturday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 3pm, Sunday, at Knob Creek United Methodist Church
OFFICIATING: Rev. Juston Smith will officiate
