Charles Strickland

KINGS MOUNTAIN-Charles Earl Strickland, 78, died Sun., Dec. 28, 2014, at Brian Center of Gastonia. A native of Sampson Co., NC, he was the son of the late Estel and Sallie Alderman Strickland. He retired as a truck driver.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Cook Strickland, of the home; daughter, Cindy Murray of Randleman; sisters, Dorothy Coltrene of Burlington, and Betty Scruggs of Asheboro; eight grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two step-children, Tanya Pearson Jackson, and Scott Pearson and wife Michelle; and his canine companion, Buddy.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Sunday, 3pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel of Kings Mountain

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home
