Charles Edward Barnett

SHELBY- Mr. Charles Edward “Pee Wee” Barnett Jr., 53, of 1808 Beaman Street, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son to Mary Brooks Barnett of Shelby and the late Charles Edward Barnett. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Second Baptist Church. Mr. Barnett loved drag racing and enjoyed building hot rods. He retired from Carolina Harley Davidson as a mechanic.
SURVIVORS: In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Lynn Black Barnett of the home, and special friends Dennis Parker and Gene Smith both of Shelby.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends Friday, November 28, from 6-7:30 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
FUNERAL: Services will be held Saturday, November 29, 11:00am, at Second Baptist Church
INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park
CLERGY: Dr. Reginald Dawkins and Rev. David Dyer will be officiating
