SHELBY- Mr. Charles Glenn Clary, 76, of 2258 S. Lafayette St., Shelby, died Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.

FUNERAL: A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Cleveland Memorial Park.

BURIAL: Cleveland Memorial Park

VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Monday, September 11, 2006 from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home.

PERSONAL HISTORY: A native of Cleveland County, he was born to the late E.R. Clary Sr. and Maude Blanton Clary. He was retired from Crosrol in Greenville, SC, as an installation supervisor after 30 years of service. He was a member of Zoar Baptist Church.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, E.R. Clary Jr. and a sister, Louise Ledford.

SURVIVORS: Mr. Clary is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Avis Cartee Clary of the home; a son, David Clary and wife, Patti, of Camden, SC; a daughter, Leanne Clary of Shelby; a sister, Martha Harris and husband, Al of Shelby; a brother-in-law, Charles Cartee of Boiling Springs; two grandchildren, Wesley Clary and wife, Emily and Stephanie Ashe and husband, Tyler, all of Shelby; and two great grandchildren, Abby Clary and Garrison Ashe, both of Shelby.
