Charlotte "Libby" Heffner

SHELBY: Charlotte “Libby” Heffner, 70, died Thursday, January 7, 2021 at her home. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Ezelle and Jessie Pearle Leigh Poole. She was a faithful member of Lily Memorial Baptist Church, the Red Hat Society and volunteered at the Hospice Store. She enjoyed crafts and always putting others first. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Heffner. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Horace Heffner of the home; daughters, Lynn Kiser and husband Mike of Point, TX and Libby Nicole Fierro and husband Tony of Shelby; sisters, Judy Bright and husband Danny of SC and Arvelena Proctor and husband Floyd of Shelby; brother, Gene Poole of Wilmington; grandchildren, Kacie, Kyle, Garrett, Kate, Kara, Scarlett and Marley; and great grandchildren, Braxton, Naila, Ada Rae and Nolan. A private memorial service for family and close friends will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Lily Memorial Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Aubrey Folk officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150
