Charlotte Johnston

Charlotte Martin Johnston left this earth on June 15, 2022. She was born on August 4th of 1950, as the first child of Elmer and Mary Martin and was raised in Kings Mountain. Charlotte traveled the world as a United States Air Force spouse, all while raising a family. She was also a Registered Nurse for 25 years, with those years spent working at Kings Mountain Hospital in the Emergency Department until her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her late husband Steve Johnston,and her beloved younger brother Tim Martin, all from Kings Mountain.
She is survived by her four daughters, Bobbie Jo Roseboro of Tampa, Katie Anthony-Swaney of Bessemer City, identical twins Tonia Brown and husband Tony of Shelby, and Tonie Ervin and husband Donald of Shelby. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Joyce Posey and Mary Bennick of Kings Mountain.

She has seven grandchildren, Kayla Bearden, Kaitland Wollenhaupt, Tony-Reid Swaney, Trevor Swaney, Christian Roseboro, Brevin Roseboro, Tegan Swaney, as well as two great-grandchildren Everett and Adaline Bearden.

Family will be receiving friends at Clay-Barnett funeral home in Kings Mountain on Wenesday June 22, 2022 from 6 to 8pm.
