Cheree Murphy

Cheree Murphy, 53, of Shelby. NC passed away Monday April 8,2024 at Wendover Hospice. She was surrounded by her Family who cherished her. She was the Daughter of Jerry and Linda Crotts
Cheree was a very Special Young Lady. She never met a stranger and always looked for the good in every person. She had a kind and loving heart . Everyone that knew her loved her and she touched many people's lives.
She loved a good movie, listening to all types of music, dancing in her wheelchair, talking on the phone, playing cards, board games and she loved a good book. Cheree read her Devotionals and had morning coffee over the phone each day with her Mother. Cheree Attended Belmont Abby College Worked at Pathways (dba as Partners) and Gaston County DSS
She is survived by her son, Grey Goines, her Parents, Linda and Jerry Crotts, and her Brother, Kevin Farris (Shannah)
Preceded in death by her grandparents, Ada and Jesse Burton, her aunt and Uncle Kenneth and Pat Rayfield, her first cousin Jeff Rayfield. and her dear Friend, Linda Paul. Cheree's wishes were that Family and Friends come together at her apartment at Marion Ridge Apartments, Shelby, NC
Her family will be there to greet her neighbors and friends on Saturday April 13 from 11am to 2:30.
Services will be Monday April 15 at Patterson Grove Baptist Church, Kings Mountain with Rev Brad Bridges officiating. The family will greet Friends at the church before the service 12:30 to 1:00. The service is at 1:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Patterson Grove Church.
