ROCKHILL,SC- In Memoriam: Cheryl Ann Erschen August 18, 1959 – October 18, 2023

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Cheryl Ann Erschen, an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and artist. Born on August 18, 1959, to Carol and David Johnson, Cheryl was a beacon of love, talent, and grace throughout her lifetime.

Preceded in death by her brothers Gary and David and her parents Carol and David Johnson, Cheryl is survived by her devoted husband Lester Erschen Sr., and her loving children Lester (Aubrey) Erschen Jr., Joseph (Rebekah) Erschen, Lacey (Scott) Williamson, and Jason (Eric) McAtee, whom she raised as her own. She leaves behind them, multiple cherished grandchildren, and her remaining brother James. Cheryl had an innate talent for art that brought vibrancy and depth to all her creations. Her skilled hands crafted drawings and paintings that were visually stunning and emotionally evocative. Her passion for the arts was an irrefutable aspect of her identity, an extension of her very soul.

A woman of immense warmth and generosity, Cheryl created a home that was a haven of love and compassion. Her family was the centerpiece of her world, and she enveloped them in a love so palpable it will never be forgotten. The legacy she leaves her grandchildren is one of unconditional love and the courage to pursue their passions, just as she did with her art.
Though she has departed from this world, Cheryl's spirit will forever live on in the memories of those who knew her and the art she leaves behind. Her immeasurable love has left an indelible mark on the hearts of her family, who will continue to honor her legacy in all that they do.
In honor of Cheryl, a private gathering will be held for family and close friends.

Rest in eternal peace, Cheryl. You have enriched our lives in countless ways, and we are forever grateful for the love and beauty you have given us.
