Claude Thomas Ledbetter

SHELBY- Mr. Claude Thomas Ledbetter, 86, of 2903 Dravo Road, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain.

PERSONAL HISTORY: He was a native of Rutherford County, NC, son to the late Barzillie and Willie Mae Shytle Ledbetter, and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was a retired supervisor from T.C. Strickland Construction Co. He was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and loved fishing and bird hunting.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Champion Ledbetter; four brothers, Carl, Sidney, Charles, and Marvin Ledbetter; and a sister, Annie Ledbetter.

SURVIVED BY: One brother, Bill Ledbetter and his wife Evelyn of Shelby, and many nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: Today (Saturday, Dec. 30) from 6-7:30pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: Graveside funeral service Sunday (Dec 31), at 2:00pm.

BURIAL: Mt. Sinai Baptist Cemetery.
