Connie Conner

KINGS MOUNTAIN: Connie McGinnis Conner, 71, died Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Atrium Health Main in Charlotte. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Katherine Blanton McGinnis. Connie enjoyed shopping, gardening, cooking and spending time her grandchildren. She was a member of Sparrow Springs Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Norma Jean McGinnis and Tootie Donaldson; and brothers, Mike “Pig” McGinnis, Butch McGinnis, Curtis McGinnis and Tinker McGinnis. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Ronny Conner of the home; sons, Robbie Conner of Kings Mountain, Reggie Conner and wife Angel of Kings Mountain and Randy Conner and wife Sara of Belwood; brother, Ken McGinnis and wife Gina of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Dallas Conner, Shelby Conner, Hunter Conner and Noah Conner; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel in Kings Mountain, with the Rev. Timmy Whitaker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mountain Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Special Olympics of Cleveland County.
