LAWNDALE- Ms. Daisy Jenkins Blanton, 54, of 106 Buckhorn Lane, died Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late John William and Lula Mae Smith Jenkins. She was a cook at Jerry’s Mini Mart for 22 years and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, who truly loved her children.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John William, Robert and Gene Jenkins; and a sister, Jeanette Wilkinson.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by two daughters, Brandy Jenkins of Gastonia and Stephanie Blanton of Lawndale; a son, Steven Blanton of Lawndale; seven sisters and their husbands, Frances Bumgarner and Jack, of Hickory, Lucy Jenkins and Pauline Hudson and Ray Dean, all of Casar; Peggy Butler of Shelby, Josephine Ingram and Bill of Lawndale, and Diane Ward and Evelyn Scarborough and Randy, all of Polkville; and a brother and his wife, Clayton Jenkins and Betty, of Polkville.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church in Casar.
FUNERAL: The funeral will follow on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
