Daisy Panther Melton

SHELBY: Daisy Panther Melton, 93, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Testa Family Hospice in Kings Mountain. She was born in Rutherford Co. to the late James and Maggie Towery Panther. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Earl and a member of the DeeDee Dedmon Sunday School Class. Daisy loved life, her family and close friends. The family wants to thank the Hospice nurses and staff that attended to her.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Thomas Melton and granddaughter Lisa Bates Barrett.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her daughters; Mary “Penny” Gantt and husband Pervey of Gastonia, Esther Bates and husband Joe of Grover, Nancy Faucett and husband George of Shelby, and Libby Carroll and husband William of Smyrna, SC; grandchildren, Heather, Jennifer and Henry; and six great grandchildren.

.VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church

OFFICIATING: Rev. Russ Bradley

BURIAL: will immediately follow the service at Duncan’s Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery
