Daniel Ray Messick

KINGS MOUNTAIN: Daniel Ray Messick, 69, died Friday March 15, 2024 at his home. He was the son of the late Kenneth Colin and Ida Pearl Messick. He loved coon hunting, fishing and most of all he loved caring for his animals. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Messick; and brother, Mark Messick. He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Spicer and husband Bryan of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Victoria James and husband Ricky, Nathan Spicer, Daniel Hunter, and Courtney Polk and husband Joseph; and great-grandchildren, Emma Mantooth, Carson Spicer, Maisy James, Brooklyn Driskill, Isabelle Spicer, Tucker Spicer, Grayson Polk, Jaxson Spicer, and Wyatt Hunter. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM Thursday March 21, 2024 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home with Rev. Perry R. Wellman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Gastonia 540 N. Broad Street Gastonia NC .
