FUNERAL: 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2006 at Mt. Home Baptist Church in Morganton
BURIAL: Burke Memorial Park in Morganton
VISITATION: 6:00 until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home of his father, James Stewart, 211 Ankle Rd., Lawndale.
PERSONAL HISTORY: Born in Burke County to James Stewart,he was a Master Police Officer with the City of Hickory, a former field training officer and investigator for the criminal investigative division. He served in the National Guard and was a member of Mt. Home Baptist Church in Morganton.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Stewart and grandmother, Mabel Digh Stewart.
SURVIVORS: Father and stepmother, James Stewart and Sylvia of Lawndale; wife, Melanie Doney Stewart of Hickory; son, Nicholas Alexander Stewart of the home, daughters, Amaura Cailey Stewart and Danielle Suzanne Stewart, both of the home; grandfather and step grandmother, Henry and Hennie Stewart of Morganton; cousin, Tony Stewart, of Rock Hill, SC; uncles, Rick Stewart and Ben Stewart, both of St. Petersburg, FL and Mike Stewart of Lake Wylie, SC; stepbrothers, Adrian Welch of Sioux City, IA and Craig Hamrick.
