Danny Wray Cadenhead

EARL- Mr. Danny Wray Cadenhead, 65, of 103 Fritz Dr., died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville. A native of Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Luther Warren and Zera Newman Cadenhead. Mr. Cadenhead served in the U.S. Air Force, was an electrical engineer and a Master Mason. He was known for his wise humor.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Cadenhead, sisters, Edith (Christine) Cadenhead and Betty Wells and a great-niece, Erin Hough.
SURVIVORS: He is survived by a son, Mark Cadenhead of Charlotte; two daughters, Donna Rae Mayfield and Charlotte Rodrigues, both of California; four brothers, Jack Cadenhead and wife, Monnie of Lincolnton, Jimmy Cadenhead of Arkansas, Robert Cadenhead and wife, Dora of Wilmington and Max Cadenhead of Fla.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be Monday, March 17, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Earl.
MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to the Cleveland County Humane Society, 1609 E. Marion St., Shelby, NC 28150.
