KINGS MOUNTAIN: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Wayne Carrigan, affectionately known as David, who left this world on April 17, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on September 1, 1959, in Cleveland County, David was a lifelong resident who cherished his community and the simple joys of life.

David dedicated 25 years of his life working at the FMC Plant, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. Outside of work, he found great joy in music and had a deep love for animals, particularly horses, which brought him immense happiness throughout his life.

David was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Buell Glenn Carrigan Sr. and Doris Juanita Scruggs Carrigan, and his cherished son, Brad Carrigan. He leaves behind a devoted family who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joann Green Carrigan, who stood by his side through life's journeys. His legacy continues with his son, David Andrew "Andy" Carrigan of Kings Mountain, and his dear brother, Buell Glenn Carrigan Jr., along with his wife Teresa of Florida.

David was a proud grandfather to Michael Ash and a doting great-grandfather to Dolia Ash. His great-niece, Everly, and his in-laws, Joe and Ann Green, also hold fond memories of their time with him.

In keeping with his wishes, aquamation services are provided by Clay-Barnette Funerals Cremations & Aquamation Center of Kings Mountain.

Though he is no longer with us, David's spirit and love for life will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
