Dennis Mullinax Sr.

October 20, 1946 — August 10, 2018

SHELBY- Dennis Ray Mullinax Sr., died peacefully, Friday, August 10, 2018, at Atrium Healthcare in Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the Carl and Hazel Wortman Mullinax. He retired from textiles, and was an avid fan of the Tar Heels, L.A. Dodgers, Green Bay Packers, and golf. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jamie Mullinax; brother, Ronald Mullinax; sisters, Helen Allen and Carolyn Webber; and his father and mother-in-law, Ervin and Dorothy Lovelace.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Ruby Lovelace Mullinax, of the home; sons, Dennis Mullinax Jr. and Sandy Mullinax, both of Shelby; grandchildren, Ryan, Amber, and Ashley Mullinax; and great-grandchildren, Anthony, Jaxon, and Aiden Walker.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends 6:30-8pm, Monday, August 13, 2018, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at his home.

FUNERAL SERVICES: A private family funeral will be held 2pm, Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

OFFICIATING: Rev. Robert Lane

BURIAL: Will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park

FUNERAL HOME: Arrangements are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral, Cremation & Pet Aquamation Center
