SHELBY – Mr. Don O. Spangler, 66, of N. Lafayette St., died Thurs., Apr. 11, 2013 at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late M.A., Jr. and Ethel Odom Spangler. He served in the U.S. Army, was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church, and worked in human resources in various textile industries in the southeast.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Al Spangler.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his fiancée, Betty Crowe Denkler of Shelby; son, Chad Spangler and wife Carmen of Charlotte; and grandchildren, Parker and Will Spangler.
SERVICES: 2P.M., Saturday, First Baptist Church, Webb Chapel
VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Saturday, 12:30-2PM, in the Lady’s Parlor of the church.
