Donald "Don" Bridges

October 24, 1964 — January 31, 2013

SHELBY – Mr. Donald “Don” Ray Bridges, 48, of Emerald Mine Rd., died Thurs., Jan. 31, 2013. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Sue Carol Wease Bridges and Max Bridges and wife Jeanette of Mooresboro. He worked 20 years with his father at Bridges Meat Market, then most recently as a property manager at Don Bridges Rentals. He was an avid sportsman, a man who loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

SURVIVED: In addition the his father, he is survived by his partner, Debra Ramey of Kings Mountain; sister, Sharon Bridges Walker of Shelby; extended family, Barry Self and wife Heather of Shelby, Ron Self of Boiling Springs, Amy Bridges Marlowe and husband Paul of Mooresboro, Mandy Lockridge of Kings Mountain, Dale Walker and wife Julie Durrett Walker of Durham; nephews, Coleman and Jackson Self, Bryson Marlowe; and niece, Keely Marlowe

SERVICES: Monday, 11am, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Sunday, 3-5pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at the home of his father, Max, 439 Lemons Rd., Mooresboro.

BURIAL: Sunset Cemetery
