Donald "Goat" Nance

SHELBY: Mr. Donald “Goat” Lee Nance, 53, departed life on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Hospice at Wendover. He was born January 1, 1971 to the late Clarence William Nance Sr. and Rosie Lee Whitener Nance. He held several jobs during his lifetime and he enjoyed helping out others when they needed him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Shauntia Quentrez Kilgore; sisters, Marcell Whitener and Georgia Marie Nance; and brother, Henry Herman Nance. He leaves to cherish a special friend, Minnie Daniels; sisters, Marie Littlejohn and husband Cornelius, Lena Whitener and Rose Nance; brothers, Clarence Nance Jr and Timothy Nance and wife Karen. A memorial service to honor the life of Donald will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, May 25, 2024 in the Chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home with Pastor Martin Austin officiating.
