Donald Ray Thomas

SHELBY- Mr. Donald Ray Thomas, 56, of 2300 Flint Hill Church Road, died Thursday, October 4, 2007. He was a native of Knox County, Tennessee, son to Reese Thomas and the late Betty Monday Thomas. He was an executive employee of Freightliner Truck Manufacturing, a member of Faith Baptist Church, and a big Tennessee Volunteers fan. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved spending time with his grandchildren, and will be greatly missed by all.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Ray Thomas.

SURVIVORS: his loving wife, Linda Talley Thomas of the home; his father, Reese Thomas of Knoxville, TN; one daughter, Kristie Thomas Valdes of Charlotte; and one sister, Sylvia Jones and her husband Henry also of Knoxville, TN; and two grandchildren, Arden and Mia Valdes of Charlotte.

VISITATION: 2-3:00pm, Saturday (10/6), at Faith Baptist Church, and at other times at the home.

FUNERAL: 3:00 Saturday (10/6) at Faith Baptist Church

BURIAL: will follow in the church cemetery.
