Dora Heavner

KINGS MOUNTAIN: Dora Sims Heavner, 76, died Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Atrium Health Cleveland. A native of Cleveland County she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Nell Kircus. Dora retired from Caromont Health and was a member of El Bethel UMC. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her brother, Buddy Kircus; and sister, Gale McKee. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Tim Heavner of the home; sons, Patrick Heavner and wife Andrea of Radford, VA and Matthew Heavner and wife Ashlea of Gastonia; grandchildren, Emma, Aaden , Elijah and Isaac Heavner; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Dr. Michael McKee of Florida; and sister-in-law, Margie Kircus of Cramerton. Memorial services will be held 11:00am Saturday, October 29, 2022 at El Bethel UMC with Rev. Julie Roberts and Rev. Bruce Hobson officiating. The family will receive friend immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to El Bethel UMC at 122 El Bethel Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
