Doris Moore

BLACKSBURG- Mrs. Doris Hardin Moore, 88, formerly of Mt. Paran Road, died Sun., Dec. 5, 20th at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late William David and Bessie Griffin Hardin. She retired from Grover School system in the cafeteria and later worked 16 years at the senior center in Gaffney and Blacksburg. She was a member of Holly Ridge Baptist Church.


PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Dever Moore; five sisters; 3 brothers; and one great grandson.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her son, Clyde Ivie and wife Elizabeth of Houston; two daughters, Norma Fuller and husband Jerry of Cincinnati and Wanda King of Blacksburg; brother, Joseph P. Hardin and wife Hazel of Shelby; 7 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.


SERVICES: Funeral services will be 10am Wednesday at Holly Ridge Baptist Church in Blacksburg

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Tuesday, 6-7:30pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home
