SHELBY- Mrs. Doris Crowder Patrick, 80, of 705 Charles Rd., died Monday, January 8, 2007 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Myrtle Hardin Crowder. She retired after 30 years from the Dover Mill. Mrs. Patrick was a member of Dover Baptist Church, was a Sunday School teacher at Bethel Baptist Church and was a Brownie Leader at the Dover Mill. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Patrick Jr.; a daughter, Janice Carrol; and a sister, Sarah Mauney.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by a son, Carl Patrick, and wife, Dot, of Shelby; two daughters, Janet Pittman and husband, Tommy, of Shelby and Dinah Williams and husband, John of Cherryville; two sisters, Rachel Mode and husband, Hugh Lee of Shelby and Ruby Walker and husband, Claude, of Virginia; eight grandchildren, Tammy Stroud and husband, Kevin, of Shelby, Tim McMurry and wife, Mindy, of Matthews, Mark Pittman and wife, Misty, and Chad Deaton, all of Shelby, John Williams and wife, Amanda, of Kings Mountain, Ben Patrick and wife, Trisha, of Lattimore, Carla Lail and husband, Scott, of Earl and Amy Ashley and husband, Lance, of Boiling Springs; and twelve great grandchildren.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the respective family’s homes.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
