SHELBY- Mrs. Doris Ruth Clary Williams, 69, of 721 Ed Hamrick Rd., died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Park Ridge Hospital in Fletcher. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Cleatus and Macie Blanton Clary. She was retired from Shadowline of Fallston, after 27 years of employment and was a member of Mulls Memorial Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Williams, son-in-law, Hab Burns, sister, Helen Bailes, and brothers, C.B., Buford, Don, Cleatus, Jr., Roger and Ronnie.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Thurman Williams, of the home; two sons, Willie Williams and wife, Lynn, of Kings Mountain and Ronnie Williams and wife, Kathy, of Shelby; four daughters, Debbie Williams of Lawndale, Dinese Burns and Tina Williams, both of Shelby, and Teresa Robinson and husband, John, of Kure Beach; four sisters, Janie Morgan and husband, Jim, of Blacksburg ,SC, Geraldine Oliver and husband, Don, of Kings Mountain, Carolyn Pruitt and Frances Luckadoo and husband, Bobby, all of Shelby; and nine grandchildren, Willie, Scott, Ryan, Michael, Tiffany, Ashley, Austin, Bridgett and Kristin.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 11:00 am, Friday, March 14, 2008 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
