Dorothy Canipe

SHELBY-Mrs. Dorothy Kay Wood Canipe, 67, of 2456 Dixon Drive, died Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Burlington, NC, she is a daughter to Birdie Black Wood of Gaffney and the late Lacy Wood Sr.. She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church and retired from PPG. Dorothy loved working and tending with her flowers. flowers.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a son, Danny Ray Canipe.

SURVIVORS: In addition to her mother, She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, William Donald Canipe, of the home; three sons Donald Jerry Canipe and wife Rhonda of Kings Mountain, Jimmy Terry Canipe of Shelby, and Randy Canipe and wife Kim of Mooresboro; two daughters Donna Kay Wright of Fallston, and Pamela Canipe Goodman of Shelby; one brother Lacy Wood Jr. and wife Joyce of Gaffney, thirteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.


VISITATION: Visitation will be held Monday, November 17, 2008 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home from 6-8pm, and other times at the home.

FUNERAL: Services will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2008, 2pm, at Clearview Baptist Church, Grover

INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park

CLERGY: Rev. Barry Miles will be officiating
