Dorothy Ford Parker

SHELBY: Dorthy Mae Parker, 98, died Monday March 18, 2024 at White Oak Manor in Shelby. She was the daughter of the late Dwight and Vera Ford. Dorthy was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, J.E. “Buck” Parker; son, Stephen Joseph Parker; grandson, Timothy Cole Parker; sister, Susie Lowe; and brother, Bill Ford. She is survived by her son, Timothy Loren Parker and wife Robin of Shelby; daughters, Gail Graham and husband Gene of Shelby and Jo Reinhardt and husband Doug of Shelby; sister, Betty Self of Gastonia; grandchildren, Stephen Parker, Tammy Bridges, and Billie Jean McNeely; great-grandchildren, Anna, Cody, Cy, and Aaron; and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Thursday March 21, 2024 at Double Springs Baptist Church with Dr. John Ware and Rev. Travis Mull officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
