Dottie Canipe

SHELBY: Dorothy “Dottie” Gibson Canipe, 80, died Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Atrium Health Cleveland. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Betty Betz Gibson. Dottie loved birds, flowers, car rides, trips to the mountains, playing bingo and just being around people. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Norris Canipe. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Head and husband Rocky of Shelby, Tamera McFarland of Surfside, SC and Pam Lingerfelt and husband Jason of Shelby; son, Eddie Canipe of Belwood; brother, Jim Gibson and wife Linda of FL; sister, Helen; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tom Hartis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
