SHELBY- Mr. Earl V. Kilpatrick,86, of 2914 Poplar Circle, died Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Maural County, Tenn., he was a son of the late William Joseph Kilpatrick and Leona Runyan Kilpatrick. He was employed in the ceramic tile industry and attended Faith Baptist Church. He served in the Army Air Corps.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
SURVIVORS: He is survived by his wife, Rosine F. Kilpatrick of the home; a son, Joe Kilpatrick and wife, Linda, of Georgia; a step-son, Jerry Frizzell and wife, Vickie, of Gastonia; a daughter, Janice Holden, of Tenn; a step-daughter, Betty F. Martin of Shelby; one grandchild; 4 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight step-great- grandchildren; and a special niece, Helen Burch and her husband, Harry of Tenn.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2009 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Gaston Memorial Park, with Military Honors.
OFFICIATING: Dr. J. Barry Goodman will be officiating.
BURIAL: Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
