SHELBY- Mr. Earl Dean Rector, 85, of 2566 S. Post Road, died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Gaston County, son to the late Gus and Nettie Bumgarner Rector and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Mr. Rector served in the Army during WWII.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents; his son, Charles “Danny” Rector preceded him in death
SURVIVORS: He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Juanita Rector of the home; sister, Gretchel Turner and her husband Jerry of Virginia; brother, Jack Rector of Georgia; and a special adopted daughter, Kathy Lovelace of Grover.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Baptist Church
VISITATION: Monday, 6-7:30 p.m. at Clay –Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home.
BURIAL: will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
OFFICIATING CLERGY: Dr. J. Barry Goodman and Rev. Johnny Owens
