Ebbie "Jo" Dyer

KINGS MOUNTAIN: Ebbie “Jo” Lemons Dyer, 76, died peacefully, Sunday, May 8, 2022, with her children by her side. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Fitchue Floyd and Ruby Young Lemons. Jo was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where she loved her Sunday School Class. She was an avid birdwatcher and gardener, and had love for cats and volunteering at her church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Fred Dyer; sisters, Betty Fraser and Juanita Mode; and brother, Huelon Lemons. She is survived by her son, Rodney Dyer of Charlotte; daughter, Susan Dyer of Kings Mountain; and sister, Faye Bridges of Shelby. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 12, 2022 in Grover Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Terry Floyd officiating.
