Ed Mcswain

July 9, 1941 — December 5, 2021

LATTIMORE: James “Ed” McSwain, 80, died Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late JC and Gena McKinney McSwain. Ed retied from textiles and was a faithful member of Lattimore Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and on the cemetery committee. He was a charter member of Lattimore Fire Department, served on the board of directors at the Boiling Springs Rescue, and on the board of the Lattimore Historical Society. He was an avid marksman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia “Pat” McSwain; and brother, Ray McSwain. He is survived by his daughter, Kelly McSwain-Campbell and husband Kelly of Belmont; granddaughters, Grace and Layne Campbell; nephew, Gene McSwain; and niece, Diane McSwain. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Lattimore Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Alton Beal and Rev. Buddy Morehead officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, in the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
