SHELBY- George “Eddie” Edward Hester, 66, died Friday, Dec.9, 2016 at his residence. A native of Cleveland Co., he was born to the late Oran and Mary Lee Clemmer Hester.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Dean Hester; and brother, Wayne Hester.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Linda Lowrance Hester, of the home; sons, Lt. David Clark and wife Crystal of Clarmont, Randy Hester of Shelby; daughter Lisa Hester Eaker and husband Allen of Cherryville; sister, Judy Elmore and husband Jackie of Crouse; brother, Allen Hester and wife Carolyn of Shelby; grandchildren, Noah, Katie, and Sarah Eaker, Zach, Nick and Cody Clark, Nichole Hester; great-grandchild, Carter Clark; stepchildren, Becky Towery, Bessie Pruitt, and Johnny Lee Smith.
VISITATION: Family will receive friends immediately following the service, in the cemetery, and other times at the home of his brother, Allen Hester, 209 Dellinger Rd. Shelby, NC.
GRAVESIDE SERVICES: Graveside services will be held, Wed., at 3:00 PM at Sunset Cemetery.
OFFICIATING: Rev. Randy Heffner and Rev. Brian Corell
BURIAL: Sunset Cemetery.
