Edie Cobb

KINGS MOUNTAIN-Edith “Edie” Cobb, 88, died Sun., Dec. 27, 2015, at White Oak Manor of Shelby. A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late John Robert and Pearl Huffstetler Gordon.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Cobb; and sisters, Lucille Moore, Peggy Guin, and Mae Calvert

SURVIVED: She is survived by her sons, Scott Cobb of Kings Mountain, Derek Cobb of Swannanoa, and Gary Cobb of Shelby; sister, Virginia Hale of Shelby; grandchildren, Austin and Holly Cobb, Erika Cobb Bowen, Lyndsey and Robert Hamrick; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Cassidee, Quaiden, Tucker, and Chloe.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 11a.m, Thursday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel of Kings Mountain

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

BURIAL: will follow in Mountain Rest Cemetery

OFFICIATING: Rev. Johnny Owens will officiate
