SHELBY- Mrs. Aileen Kirby Silvers, 81, of 217 Cameron Street, died Monday August 1, 2011 at her residence. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Loren Lee and Mattie Blanche Jones.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Kirby; and a brother James Lee Jones.
SURVIVED: She is survived by her current husband, W.G. Silvers; one son, Gary Leroy Kirby and wife Doris of Blacksburg; one daughter, Linda Owensby and husband Buck of Shelby; one sister, Patricia “Pat” Putnam and husband Jim of Shelby; two granddaughters, Christina Bowen Wease and husband Eric of Cliffside, April Bowen Latham and husband Mackie of Boiling Springs, and many step grandchildren; two great grandchildren, Lillian Wease and Matthew Latham.
SERVICES: The funeral service will be held, 10:00 am, Wednesday August 3, 2011 at Lily Memorial Baptist Church.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends, 7:00 – 9:00 pm, Tuesday August 2, 2011 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at her home.
CLERGY: Rev. Jared Pankhurst will be officiating
BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
