Edward Greene Sr.

Kings Mountain-Edward Lee Greene Sr., 89, died Thursday, January 14, 2021 at His home. He was born in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late John and Minnie Honeycutt Greene. He had a green thumb and enjoyed yard work. He also liked making fish ponds. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Greene, of 54 years; 10 brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his sons, Eddie Greene and Mark Greene; daughter, Debbie West and husband Keith all of Kings Mountain. Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Sunday January 17, 2021, at East Gold Street Wesleyan Church, with the Revs. Scott Whitney, Scott Carpenter, and Sonny Farris officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church. Burial will following in Mountain Rest Cemetery.
