Elizabeth Blanton

May 15, 1935 — January 20, 2015

GROVER- Elizabeth Rippy Blanton, 79, of 1011 Cleveland Ave., died Tues., Jan. 20, 2015, at Kings Mountain Hospice House. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Talmadge and Iva Mae Head Rippy. She was a member of New Buffalo Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Toy Richard Blanton; brothers, Bobby George Rippy and Dean Rippy; sisters, Velvia Martin and Lou Ella Rippy.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Blanton Wasburn and husband Tim; son, Gary Richard Blanton; both of Grover; sisters, Jean Whitworth and husband Lee of Grover, Brenda Mace and husband Donnie of Kings Mountain, and Trit Lowery and husband Buster of Grover; granddaughter, Jada Blanton of Grover; and sister-in-law, Deloris Rippy of Shelby.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 2p.m., Friday, at New Buffalo Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Thursday, 6-7:30pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at her home.

BURIAL: New Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery
