Elizabeth Blanton

September 25, 1923 — March 30, 2009

SHELBY- Mrs. Elizabeth Blanton, 85, of 401 N. Morgan St., died Monday, March 30, 2009 at White Oak Manor- Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Kate Brooks Holland. She was retired from Cleveland Regional Medical Center as a Food Nutritionist and was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Harrill.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by four sons, Gene Blanton and wife, Janice of Sunset Beach, Don Blanton and wife, Beth, Danny Blanton and wife, Dianne, and Billy Blanton, and wife, Sherry, all of Shelby; a daughter, Anne Frazier and husband, Larry, of Shelby; thirteen grandchildren and their spouses, Robin Reep, Rodney Reep and Randa, Misty Emmart and Billy, Jerry Clark and Jane, Stephanie Patterson and Jason, Alice Kale and Brandon, Charlie Blanton and fiancée Kassidy Parker, Alisha King and Jeremy, Daniel Blanton and Ashley, Haley Blanton, Chad Frazier and Leanne, Emily McGinnis and Erek, and Brinson Blanton; nineteen great grandchildren; a nephew, Mike Harrill and wife, Phyllis of Shelby; and a great niece, Mandy, of Shelby. The family would like to thank the staff at White Oak Manor- Shelby for their care.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her daughter, Anne Frazier, 108 W. Lee St., Shelby.

FUNERAL: The funeral will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.

BURIAL: A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Cleveland Memorial Park.
